Uh oh, Arlo is an old guy now. Welcome to the club. Old guys cannot complain about aches or pains without drawing all sorts of concerns. Looks like Janis is checking for the disease of the day. I used to call it the disease du jour, but learned that is an actual affliction in horses.

When a trip to the grocery store or Post Office means you wonder, “Is my throat scratchy? Is this something?”, a day later.

Polymyalgia rheumatica. It’s common and largely untreated. Also, on the internet, I am a doctor, although gynecology is difficult.

Hypochondriacs are very upset these days. They used to have a plethora of diseases to choose from. Now all symptoms lead to COVID. ACHOO

1) a feeling of unease or depression

2) a mild sickness, not symptomatic of any disease or ailment

3) a complex of problems affecting a country, economy, etc. Bulgaria’s economic malaise

These days, all nothings might be somethings! …..or something like that. ;o{

I was thinking the “nothing” was bedroom “sports” …

Ah, yes. Some days I just feel punky. Nothing specific, but just feeling generally blah.

I am nearly 68. I contracted the plague about a month ago, and I had two days of mild symptoms and then a little shortness of breath for about a week. I have been fine since.

My physician credited it to being in good health, not smoking, exercising, being thin, and taking vitamin D. I will take his word for it.

Whatever the reason/s, I am extremely grateful that it barely touched me.

Sore achy joints? Oh no Arlo has the Covid!!

Nothing a couple of cold ones won’t fix.

And a comment in reply to the original comment from Da’Dad. Arlo Day is feeling bad and Janis Day, real last names, is looking up the current disease of the day. I see what you did there.

My wife thinks it’s strange that I do not wake up with aches and pains like everyone my age is supposed to. At my age I guess I’m an anomaly.

That’s me some days are good, others are not.

Technically, you can. It’s called getting older.

Since last March my husband goes crazy whenever I start to cough. We both take a blood pressure medicine which has as side effect – yes – coughing. I am more affected by this side effect than he is and have been so for decades. “Why are you coughing?” “Medication side effect.” We have had this same discussion numerous times a day since last the start of the pandemic – and I am sure we will continue to do so until this is all over.
