The best cartoons are funny at face value but have hidden references that are only gotten by the most observant people with enough accumulated knowledge to see it for what it is.
Yes! It’s nice to see I’m not the only one who doesn’t get some of these darned comic strips. It’s probably much more common than I think, but because it makes me feel like an idiot I don’t discuss it very often. Usually, I just come check out the comments!
