I started playing assassin’s creed at 4:30. Before I knew it it was 11:30. I only stopped because I got frustrated from constantly “desychronizing” (aka dying). Video games are such a time suck. On the plus side, it’s too late to make dinner so I can skip a meal.
All of his expressions in the eight panels are so good, but the purple one is beyond beyond. He has transcended and become a Knight TempGnar. The Dude abides.
I love the series of Wallace moment portraits. Just beautiful, simply so.
It reminds me of Richard Avedon’s psychedelic photo portraits of the Beatles.
And even more of Andy Warhol’s silk screen Edith Scull 36 Times.
And there’s resonance with this oddball quote from the Knight’s Tempgnar page on Facebook.*
“We believe in the infinite complexity of every moment. If one were to view any single moment of existence as within a frozen still on a roll of film, we would be able to experience an infinite amount of nuanced details that are completely ignored in our immediate reality. "
Yeah, done that before, not so much in pinball (which I’m actually not that great at, not that I get the chance to play that often) but in plenty of other games and other things I enjoy doing.

There’s a group of relativistic physics researchers who’d like to study Wallace at the pinball machine.

Back in high school, my best friend and I once lost and entire afternoon playing pinball in a local restaurant, winning free game after free game.

Was this a reference to the Black Knight 2000 pinball machine? Built in 1989, it was a great machine to play!
