Walter Arnold may be the first person convicted of speeding in an automobile, but I am pretty sure that horses and carriages can go faster than 8 mph. I bet there were were some of them convicted before Walter.

If you drive 8 mph anywhere today, you’re going to get a lot more than a ticket.

Why would the speed limit be 2mph? I am not a particularly fit individual, and am definitely not athletic, but my walking speed is about 4mph. Doing double the speed limit would subject me to speeding tickets just from walking. Heaven forbid I should run or jog.

People thought that if you went 100mph you would die. In actuality it is the sudden stop against a big object that kills you!!

I had an instructor in physical therapy school that could draw 2 cross sections of the spinal canal, 1 with each hand at the same time. He was legally blind.

Anybody with two hands can draw with them both. Not so good, but still.
