I can say without any irony or sarcasm that it makes perfect sense for Alejandra to accept whatever that was without question.

I guess Marigold (puts on own shades) worked her magic.

Is this enough for her? She used to effectively be the leader of her little clique. If she stays on Alejandra’s say-so, it seems like she has usurped that position.

But I guess we’ll have to see exactly what Marigold did.

At least Dakota was kind enough to say goodbye to Phoebe in a friendly way. Deep down, she must consider her her friend.

Marigold warped reality to make Phoebe a cool kid…

You notice, however, that Dakota didn’t feel the need to insert a silly name but actually said “Later, Phoebe.” The dynamic has shifted.

Solve it with magic? but the mortal way would have been a completed character arch. Now she goes back to sort of friendly.

Whatever happened, at least “dweeby Phoebe” didn’t, so it’s all good, I guess.

So now Phoebe has two bullies to deal with? Is that an improvement?

“Look carefully into the flashy-thing … I mean, horn.”

To be honest, I’m not sure how much more Phoebe could’ve helped anyway, because while it was great she was trying and wanted to, she doesn’t see the world the same way Dakota does, and while, yes, that is more Dakota’s problem than anything else, it also means it’s something Dakota’s will likely have to work out on her own and find her own way to continue on in a post-cool-kid life…assuming she finds herself back in such a scenario again, of course.

Marigold save the day! Or help forming a diabolical alliance? We will see.

Did Marigold use a shield of coolness? Did I miss a strip?

I’m always a bit disappointed that Dana never runs a whole week featuring Dakota, however, I do enjoy that we’ve gone three weeks at least talking about her and even getting to see her in kindergarten form. I do admit, I’m a big fan of Dakota. Yes, of this strip in general, but when it’s a Dakota arc, it just seems all the more enjoyable to me.

At least Dakota didn’t called her a dweeb.

Oh, take off, Marigold.

I would say that it’s apparently that Phoebe makes anyone else look cool, if it weren’t for Max.

Isn’t Alejandra a “new girl”? Shouldn’t Dakota be in a higher “cool girl” spot then her? Dakota is listening to her. If she can’t be popular anymore, then too bad.
