I do love the confirmation that of course Calvin’s the smartest kid in the room when he actually bothers to apply himself.

If that were a truly good version of Calvin, he would know better than to antagonize the kids in the class by showing off and getting all the answers correct!

The ethicator’s setting seems impossibly high!

It seems Calvin’s hair can lay flat if it’s combed properly.

The evil side of the ethicator is definitely a Chekhov’s Gun.

That bus went into A whole different universe. Calvin raising his hand in class. Smh. And how does he have a good side and if he did, he could do good to get things mom never let him have.

Reminds me of an old original Star Trek episode where Captain Kirk is split into a good Kirk and an evil Kirk….

I suspect that being jealous of ones own self is different than self-absorption but could it also be narcissistic? Either way, I’m thinking Hobbes will have to sort this out.

FFS, is Calvin really evil? The 2nd Adolf Hitler, Jeff Dahmer, Lee Harvey Oswald? It seems to be the word everyone associates with him.

Gotta love the kid’s concept of a “sap!”

Are we just not going to talk about how really is a calvin at home and a calvin at school?

See? This proves how smart Calvin can be. It’s his evil side that prevents him from doing well academically.

I’m honestly surprised there was enough “good side” of Calvin to get a copy out of. I figure it would be like trying to enhance one of those super grainy black and white 90s security camera photos.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop is as much fun as the strip itself

This would make a good movie.

The cardboard box works much better as a Duplicator than as a Transmogrifier. When Calvin transmogrified himself, other characters couldn’t see the forms that he took. They only saw Calvin. When Calvin duplicates himself, other characters see the duplicates.

At the beginning of the week, someone suggested that Mom take a photo of the neat and tidy “Calvin”. I replied that it wasn’t really Calvin and so might not show up on camera. If the duplicate can be photographed and someone photographed the real Calvin at the same time, there would be photographic proof of the two Calvins.

I didn’t know Calvin had a good side.

This looks like this fantasy is for reals and unlike the others, not in his head.

sometimes I try to figure out how his imagination is working in context with the real world, in this case I can only see it working if he actually is suddenly a better student with combed hair in class, while in the back of his mind he’s thinking of being back at home talking with Hobbes about his duplicator…but then Calvin normally can’t even do basic addition, how does he suddenly know so many answers?

I feel most sorry for Miss Wormwood. She must think God has finally answered her prayers. Alas . . .
