Reminds me of a scene in a Mickey Rooney movie, (1940), Young Tom Edison. In which he shows someone on a train a bottle of explosive that he made. Not realizing that nitroglycerin had already been invented. Nor how unstable it was to motions, such as being on a moving railroad train. Rooney, as young Edison lowered the bottle from the train that was on a wooden trestle bridge into a river. And of course the movie went on from there.
