I’d a lot rather ride a unicorn than play a video game any day.

Pfft. Delayed gratification is one of those lies that adults tell, like “if you drink coffee, it’ll stunt your growth” or “Doing your homework builds character.”

Doing so on Dragon Quest of the Stars, Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Crystal.

Just get the modded version, Dad, and get your life back.

That’s why I hate RPGs… except Child of Light… and Chrono Trigger.

The true test of a gamer. Grinding.

This is why I don’t play games like that—I don’t have the patience for grinding.

Whatever happened to the days when you could just jump into a game and play it through to completion with the only thing you needed was skill and the personal knowledge of how to work the controls?

Reminds me of the days I was playing Diablo and got tired of the grind. Eventually just found some cheats, became God-like and had a lot more fun.

“Delayed gratification” is one thing, but this sounds a lot more like just turning play into a chore.

I do like how they do leveling up in the Suikoden games were you will quickly get to the recommend level it just a few battles even if it with a character at level 5 the dungeon is level 60 and it has a soft cap where it takes 200 battles to level up.
