Not a bad idea! There are so many benefits from lifting weights that go beyond consuming calories, such as your metabolism may stay elevated for longer after weights, so that is helpful. A cardio workout burns more calories overall, but I also can’t imagine Cathy eating while she is running. It would be a good comic to have her eating while on a rowing machine, where she gets a bite to eat every time she pulls herself closer to one end of the machine, haha!

No, but if you’re lucky, you’ll break even! LOL

You’ll burn only a few more calories, but you’ll lose lots more from food falling off your unwieldy utensils before it makes it to your mouth.

Not unless you’re eating celery, but then you don’t need the weights!

Ten years apart, in different cities, I saw guys with twins doing curls with their carriers.

I would say it depends on how big your silverware is. Cathy looks like she could handle a serving size spoon and fork.

And increase your upper body strength – a win-win-win!

Yes, if you attach the forks to “shake weights”, and you can’t get the food to your mouth…

Whoa! Since when does Cathy have a nose?? OK, who are you and what have you done with Ms Guisewite?!

One of the few pics of Cathy with a nose.

In theory? Not a bad idea, with strapping the weights to the utensils.
In practice? Who knows? Might be worth a shot, though …
That reminds me of a quote from Einstein, too:
“In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, they are not.”

That image is a little disquieting.

So how long will these little comics last? I don’t have a problem with them, I’m just curious what will happen when the pandemic goes away?
