Poor Raphael Edward “Cancún” Cruz had to sneak across the Mexican border to seek refuge for his family from a failed state where civilization had completely broken down and government became incapable of providing its most basic functions.
In my state of California, desperate refugees try to come FROM Mexico TO California for a better life. But “Cancún” Cruz had to escape FROM the failed state TO Mexico to escape the failed RepubliQan deregulated state of Texas…
• Can’t keep the lights on
• Can’t keep the heat on (people literally froze to death)
• Can’t keep clean water flowing
• Can’t protect consumers from price gouging by wealthy RepubliQan donors, like energy magnate Jerry Jones who owns energy companies as well as the Dallas Cowboys and donates heavily to Republicans, and made more in three days than he usually does in a year.
• CAN’T GET THEIR PEOPLE VACCINATED — 47th out of 50 states in per capita vaccinations
Sure, further deregulate, remove all protections from a deadly virus we can’t get you vaccinated against — what could go wrong? (And if it does go wrong, heck, Ted Cruz will just flee to Cancún, or Orlando, or some place that CAN keep the lights on, keep the heat on, keep clean water flowing, and get their people vaccinated. And if he gets busted, he’ll just throw his wife or kids under the bus like he did when Donald Trump insulted his wife and father.)
And yeah, what Ted really told the people of Texas is that even Mexico can do a better job of protecting its people than the FAILED REPUBLIQAN STATE OF TEXAS.
I remember the old Twilight Zone movie, the episode with Vic Morrow, where the racist swapped places with a minority and he learned a lesson in how to be human.

I love Woody Guthrie and think that this is one of his best songs. Perhaps if Ted, hell, if EVERYONE, learned perspective, we might have a better world.

I’m still surprised Mexico let Ted and his family in.

Ol’ Ted showed us how he would react to a national crisis if he were elected President…

Deport Cruz to Canada and let him wait in a detention center since they won’t let him in.
