Don’t worry, Gladys, If American chefs are like Italians, that all make commercials for potato chips, industrial pasta and every sort of junk food you will not blamed by them.
It makes one wonder what those celebrity chefs make when the camera is not on. They would likely be embarrassed to be caught making a bologna sandwich, with lemon zest of course. Bologna, bread and Miracle Whip®, that’s all one needs.
Depends on the bologna – if you’re eating Oscar Meyer bologna-mush, pressed into a sliced loaf, on plain old white bread then yep, they would. :-)
Now, if you get the beef bologna from the deli case, sliced to your preference, on bakery or even better, home baked bread? That is many steps above… :-)
A good General in combat always eats the same rations/food as his troops to understand their conditions and tolerances. Looks like Stalingrad Rations at Brutus’s house tonight…..
I admit to occasionally eating a TV dinner while watching a cooking show but I did play with the recipe. I left the covering on longer, then sprinkled cheez (sic) on the hot meal. Just my own little touches. :)
You’d hate doing their dishes! They use a full size dinner plate and put one small thing in the middle. Imagine how many dishes they use for one meal, especially dinner for six…
If it wasn’t for Bologna, meat producers would have to throw out all those meat byproducts that have no other use. Well, maybe they could be used in hot dogs too.

Balony! I doubt anything would embarrass you. I, on the other would stoop no lowe than corned beef or pastrami.

Cooking by celebrity chefs is overrated!! I have more important things to do then to waste my time cooking for one!

If you braise the bologna and make sauce of the fond, dust the sandwich with smoked paprika you got them beat.

A true gourmet, would fry the bologna, and toast the Wonder Bread….Throw a piece of lettuce on it to make it healthy.

The ex-GF was into those shows. It’s hard to avoid my brain’s internal dialogue saying ‘Tut tut… food porn’

I’m sure lots of people living in hovels used to enjoy watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
