almost similar with Calvin one Sunday strip: sees a dripping rain gutter, then sees a trickle, a river, a waterfall, gets caught in a downpour, gets hosed by the fire department, and then in an oceanic storm
This is strongly reminiscent of Hokusai’s The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. Both depict the vast scale of nature as against the small presence and limited power of individual humans. The Kanagawa depicts even sacred Mount Fuji as small compared to the turbulent ocean… in an image almost 200 years old.
I like that in this image today the turbulence is amplified by shattering the picture of the ocean into pieces and scattering them across the space of the feature:
It’s like classic Japanese art fragmented by cubism and thrown around by abstract expressionism,
Just wait until you get old, kiddo. You’ll have that dream, race to the bathroom, and then stand there for twenty minutes waiting for something to happen.

POOPH is not the word you want to hear when you need to go to the bathroom.

This happens to me too, when I wake up around 3AM and hear the next door neighbors fountain still running.

True, the sentiment is the same. However, the delivery is Lio not Calvin.

Did Lio drink plenty of liquids before bed?; in a Simpsons Christmas episode, Bart did.
