Cats have a very clear definition of personal space. When you get within three feet of most cats, it either has to approach or move away. If you are friendly ,it approaches and you exchange smells. If not, it moves out of pounce range. Lilly sounds like a nine-foot pouncer to me. :)
Good advice, although, knowing Lily, six feet might not be enough. Perhaps twelve feet would be more adequate. On another note, saw seven robins, a chickadee, three juncos, a squirrel, a sparrow, and two varied thrushes while out walking today.

A few locked doors may be a better survival strategy.

Or, you could just learn to either only say things to Lily that will make her happy or just don’t say anything at all to her.

Here here! Good advice! As a fellow Lily I concur fully. (But only for rude people, of course, and never cats)

My am/pm client informed the boss that the new caregiver wasn’t allowed back. I’m working seven days a week again.
