Ah she’s not well known. Else, he will be fine with one or two sips of “Famous Grouse”

Grousing is one of those words that didn’t seem to make it into the 21st century. Sort of like Groovy.

Alternate Words of Clint Eastwood (as Police Officer Ben Shockley) to Sondra Locke (as Gus Mally) in The Gauntlet:

    “Grouse, grouse, grouse …"

Aw jeez, now I’m more confused! All the nouns and verbs! Grouse, the noun, a ground-dwelling bird, and Grouse, the verb, complain or grumble! I really shoulda paid more attention in school!

So, she’s a Grouse, the bird, and she’s grousing, complaining, and he’s regretting marrying a Grouse the bird, or someone who grouses or complains.

And is he a Grouse? Are they both Grouses? Wait…is it Grouses? Let’s see, what’s the rule… goose/geese, moose/meese, so that means it must be grouse/grease, no… that can’t be right.

The babies are pink, and don’t have feathers, so I don’t think they can fly, because they’re still chicks. Wait… do we call them “chicks” or it is that just reserved for chickens?

Well, there goes my morning! I should never drink coffee before reading Mac’s cartoons!!!
