USA gov’t reports 30 million people have contracted the COVID 19 virus in the last year. Big deal, that means that over 270 million people HAVE NOT…odds are if after a year you haven’t then you won’t. And masks do not work to halt the spread.
We both have had the two shots, however the CDC says we can still be carriers and must quarantine if we are with someone who may have been with someone who had symptoms. Craziness. Yes I read their guidelines four times.
I had planned to do the Trans-Labrador Highway to Newfoundland on motorcycle last year. Had my J & J one-time covid shot two weeks ago and will wait patiently for the US/Canadian border to open so I can hit the road! So, like Arlo and Janis I’m hoping to travel again soon.
Wow…that all sounds good. And, here I am in my forced home office (contrary to popular belief, not everyone likes working from home), looking out on the world. No shopping, no museums, no Dover sole…but plenty of blues.
This is one to clip out and put on the refrigerator until it turns yellow with age (except my wife ate sole meuniere at a wonderful little restaurant on the Oise River many years ago, got food poisoning, and spent three days in our Paris hotel ‘calling huey on the big white phone’). But the sentiment is perfect!
I see a crowded airport, missing connections, rude security and custom agents, overpriced hotels and restaurants, foul bathrooms… and that’s not even getting out of PDX.
Well, darn! I had the shots (Moderna iteration) and had absolutely no side effects. Would have loved to have some great dreams, minus the fever of course. : /
In 2019 we had problems with our RV’s electrical system. (By RV I mean a Chevy Express van commercially converted to same – not talking luxury here.) So we did not travel in 2019. We did not travel in 2020.
Husband is chomping at the bit to go somewhere again – even just a day to 3 day trip to Lancaster, PA, our normal place for most trips. But even if we decided it was okay to go – the RV parks are not open nor are the very local restaurants we would go to.
And we really need to travel back to 1775 with our reenactment unit again!

I’ve planned the greatest vacation, but it hinges on Spain, Portugal, and Germany getting their vaccination act together.

A week til my second shot. So three more weeks until I’m more confident of seeing my kids’ graduations. Still no mask free dreams though.

You’re in Toon World. Just do the Roger Rabbit thing and have it drawn for you.
Then do what you fantasized and allow the readers to vicariously enjoy the experiences. BTW, be sure to block out the variants in the new arc.

PFIZER it is a milder vaccine , MUDERA is rougher , with fever , Nausea body aches . but any of the 3 is better then a full covid attack .

Once you get the second shot, the sun shines a little brighter and the birds sing a little louder.

So are fever dreams the same as vaccine hallucinations?

I see two fever-ridden people clutching each other in a bedroom with drawn blinds and a locked door.
