Recess was the best! I would always come back to class a mess. Torn jeans and grass stains every where. My third grade teacher Mrs. Rausch would her shake he head and say " boy, your mother is going to love that"!
Showing my age again—playgrounds were on asphalt and we didn’t wear helmets when we rode our bikes or suit up with knee and elbow pads for roller skating. It’s a wonder we survived childhood!
Ouch. Reminds me of some crazy kid when I was in first or second grade that jumped off the top of the slide and broke a leg. Come to think of it, I don’t remember ever seeing him again after that day…
My sincere apologies to anyone I’ve offended with my remarks. I’m just very very concerned these days by the power of the Woke Culture to dismiss and Erase whatever they choose with no consequences. Perhaps I’ve become overly sensitive myself about our potential loss of the freedom and speech. Sometimes a Jungle Gym is just a Jungle Gym and may it be ever thus!!!!! Peace!!!

I’d rather do monkey bars with Rover, too!

You never see monkey bars/jungle-gym stuff on playgrounds these days. This was my favorite thing to do.

I worry about Red. Even I wanted at least one human friend when I was his age.
