So the Head of the Democratic party in New York stated that she needed at least 5 women to come forward before she would call for Cuomo’s resignation. I know the state is investigating if they should impeach him, anyone think it will happen or he resigns soon? I sure hope so, we will see.
“Excelsior” maybe—but that formation often would mean “too high” as well as “higher”. Possibly apropos in Cuomo’s case . . . ? [Probably the etymological starting point of the comparative degree in Latin was something like “very”, which could easily evolve into “comparatively more” on the one hand and a notion of excess on the other.]
I think he should stay. Democrats are always trying to do the “right” thing by getting the person out of office. Franken should have never resigned, he was a good senator and did not need to go that fast. Cuomo may have done some inappropriate touches and conversations, but there is no rape accusations (E Jean Carroll for example), nothing about minors (Roy Moore,DJT) and I really hope he holds his ground. For Deblasio to say he is incapable of doing his job is wrong. The Republicans would never bow down to doing what’s right! .
I’m having a real hard time figuring out WHY I, as a New Mexican, should give a rat’s patootie WHAT Cuomo has done – New York just isn’t that important in this part of the country. My sympathies to the ladies involved, but, from what I’ve read, the N.Y. governor has always been a “smuck” so they should not have gone into this whole affair totally innocent. You have to decide just how important your job is and make decisions accordingly – personally, were it me, his jaw would have required a few weeks of being wired shut and then he probably would never done it again.
