Well, you DID momentarily forgot her name. She is not that important to you, Mike. You haven’t been attentive which is why she turned to another guy. Currently, your first love is…cars. Martha is letting you go and you’re mad? You just don’t like being dumped. Nobody does.

she should have talked sooner, and mike should have listened. but, if you only value a relationship as a status, you’ve forgotten that it is the person you love, not the concept of a relationship. An attraction such as nice cars, or a nice face/body is one way and has no commitment in it, it is just an attraction. It can take a bit to figure that out though, especially at that age, when they “know it all” but know nothing, because responsibility and commitment haven’t been kearned.

I take it this is the first breakup Mike’s ever had.;/

If you have been going out with Mike for two years. You should know how to “push his Buttons”. And you seem to be doing a job of doing it now.

“Totally open” is for staying together, not ditching.

Rejection is hard to take.. for both sides.

No one likes to be dumped. He should have said, I dumped you a while back, but I haven’t got around to telling you yet.

I see both these kids as being self absorbed and when two into themselves get together they repel.

The trouble with being totally in love with someone else is just exactly what is the degree of love they are in with you. Also, do they even know you.

Typical teenage girl. For somebody who just broke up with the guy and dumped him for another man, she is sure going to a lot of trouble now trying to discuss their relationship with him!

At least she’s not cheating on you. At least she told you about it before anything happened…unlike a certain ahole who’s name begins with an E who will appear later.

You asked Mike to speak up and he did.I remember my daughter had her first crush, then of all times just before my daughter on Wednesday from church the guy had to break up with her before bed time. Broke her heart, then I had to talk with her with mom advice.
