Most people pay their loans off, some continue to take courses so as not to pay off the loan. Ralph advises not to leave him a loanâŠ.he must know something we donât knowâŠâŠHmmmmm
I got a math degree and my first job out of college was working at a shoe store. I eventually got a government job. Almost 2/3 of college grads NEVER get a job in the field they majored in for one reason or another. I worked with a guy who went to Med School, but couldnât take the stress of being a doctor.
Is Higher Education an over priced âWindmillâ (Quixote)?
I paid off every penny of my massive student debt. And have earned it it all back tenfold. Actually, more like a hundredfold. So, I guess it served its purpose.
There are a lot of majors that donât lead to a money-making career. I think that before someone goes into debt for their education, they should think about how they will be able to pay it off. My grandson graduated with a degree in philosophy. Thankfully he didnât go into debt for it. I think if people go into teaching they should get their debt reduced or paid off.
Iâm one of those âsome collegeâ people. My student loans got me kicked out: I was signing up for 2 classes and dropping 1 to get them deferred because 1 class was all I could afford and had time for working 50 hours/week for near minimum wage. The university eventually got their registrar computers talking to their financial aid computers, and they kicked me out. My brain eventually snapped from the stress. Now Iâm so chagrined from the debt experience, I dare not try to finish college, nevermind that Iâm so addle-brained, I probably couldnât if I wanted to.
With an entitlement mentality.. you shouldnât have to.. Years of party with a little study thrown in are yours for the taking.. Heck this is America.. the land of milk and honey.
If the federal government forgave all the student-loan debt it holds, then bought out all the privately-held student-loan debt and forgave that, it would cost the Treasury less than the Republiklansâ last tax-breaks-for corporations-and-the-1% scam â and, unlike that abomination, it would actually help the economy.
Yes! Forgiving all of those loans is ridiculous ,and giving all of these ILLEGAL people money and free things we had to work for is not right either!!!!

Exactly how Dave Ramsey described it. Had it so long it became a pet following you around. Or something like that, sorry Dave.

Nobody made you take the loan. Why not do like everybody else and work to pay it off? Maybe I can get somebody to forgive my house and car loans.

I locked in at a pretty low rate. I can afford to pay it off but can make more with the money owed by investing it!

Your forgiveness is not whatâs required, itâs the governments forgiveness you need, and I hope you never get it.

If you had majored in a marketable skill you wouldnât be in this situation. A Masters in gender studies doesnât take you very far.
