I would read that comic but it has too many words in it.
If there aren’t words how do you “read” a comic?
I personally need words in my comics or i can’t follow the comic as i am really, really, really, poor at picking up on visual cues in comics and even worse in the real world.
I am also laughter deficient. i can see or read something that i know is funny or is intended to illicit a laugh, but without hearing someone else’s laughter I only react with a brief smile at most.
I bet the hidden analogy here goes over most people’s head.
In his outrage Baldo has become the very thing that he’s so upset about. That’s become the true outcome of all the Political and Social arguments that keep us separated over minor disagreements.
I remember Bill Watterson often did Calvin and Hobbes strips bemoaning the fact that comics had gotten so small that the artist couldn’t really do much with their drawings. If you look at comics from the early 1900s, they were huge, with lots of room to show very detailed drawings. But times have changed.
Too many people can no longer remember the Beginning of a sentence by the time the speaker gets to the End of the sentence, thanks to Television’s love affair with the Sound Bite.

If you enjoy irony (I do) this is wonderful. And I’m guessing at some of the strips that are having fun poked at them.

sometimes a lot of words are needed to express feelings towards someone or something that affects them emotionally / physically; other times not.

A Screed!

Too many words. Bored before I could finish reading it. Not enough art work. Hector and Carlos must need a vacation.

I learned what “screed” means, so thank you.

Some felt like this over the classic EC comics. But I dug it.
