Wait, yesterday he was a Tenderpaw with aspirations of being a Beagle Scout. Today he is one? My, how time flies.

Always make sure to have some lunch. Can’t remember a hike where we didn’t bring a lunch with us. Not to say that we didn’t COOK our lunch while on the hike (I’d say at least half the time we brought stuff we’d have to cook and the other half we brought sandwiches), but we always brought our lunch.

Sorry. #1 necessity is water unless you’re hiking along a clean stream.
