I remember asking the teacher if the author purposefully put in all the symbols that she was explaining about in the book. I just thought it was a story about hunting a whale. But it seems every sentence is symbol filled by Melville.
Someday it’ll be a comic. Oh, wait…
What kind of metaphor blows up like a bomb?
Fortunately, he was only metaphorically killed – such as in a high school Literature class.
Seems to me that terrorist attacks are murder by metaphor or at least murder in service of a metaphor.
