I’m sure Mike isn’t the only parent who has called her that morning.
Really? I thought they were a cover for ears
You’re a good dad, Mike!
Do you plug it into your Kindle?
Nice move .
Whatever it is, it’s made out of the same material as your shirt, Mike. Did she snip a strip out of the middle of the back, maybe?
Good improv from Dad. I was never that quick. Or that gracious.
Merry Christmas, Mike and Alex. Glad to see how well you’re bonding.
Most strips are amusing, some are funny, this one is funny.

Mike and Alex have a great relationship. Unlike, say, Jeff and his parents.

Must be he has really BIG books!
The teacher answered the phone on Christmas?
I had the same happen to me this Christmas. Luckily, my daughter is an adult so I was able to ask her what these bean bags were for.
With any luck, Mike’s graciousness will rub off on his ingrate daughter.
It’s the thought that counts…
Bet that teacher never assigns such a project right before the holidays again, I imagine 20 or 30 parents calling her Christmas morning asking the same question!
Teachers are way overworked if they take calls on Mex mas morning
