Well, that was a shovel-ready hole…
Nice try, anyway, Horace…
I wouldn’t dig any further if I were you.
“Can you dig it?” the Warrior asks. “Yes,” Horace replied. “Maybe too much.”
Oops?
Where the comic strip ends.
Cupid is known as eros – Horace is known as culprit for erosion
I can dig it.
You had to buy an Acme shovel, didn’t you?
Today’s cartoon about digging a hole is short, but very deep.
well, hmm… seems there’s a problem with your hole there.
About face, Horace, you’ve out dug yourself…
Now the question is whether comic strip magic will allow the tree’s roots to hover in that void.
Broke the 4th wall again?
That’s what happens when you pile all the dirt on one side.. gotta distribute that weight evenly.. physics 101.. chapter 2
Must be a nut tree… Possibly a Horse Chestnut…!
This seems to be a subtle analogy to humans trying to plant a few trees in an effort to save the planet and undo decades of excess. :) Maybe I’m reading too much into this but, see, the last panel is missing.
Oopsie. ACME shovel?
It wasn’t shovel ready.
Well, that sinks.
oops
This comic is losing ground.
With that kind of instability I’d call the city about it. Sinkholes are most dangerous. Can swallow homes and people.
He’s lucky he wasn’t standing on the other side. The next panel might have been Horace falling like Wile E. Coyote.
He’s got a hole lot of trouble now.
Well, at least he’s okay.
Horace on the fault line ;+)
Landslide? Sink hole got your soil? Go ahead and fear.
The closer you get to your destination the more it keeps slip sliding away.
