For those who are interested, The Met has a wide selection of non-European art:

Last couple museums I went through had a range of weird to very lifelike statues by black men. Mostly stolen by dead white men.

Even most modern art is by dead white men. Except for the ones that are still alive.

Given the fine print under the title, I guess this is a never-ending exhibit, then?

A recent Sunday Times article describes how it was van Gogh’s sister-in-law (wife of Theodore) who rescued him from the obscurity he died in. That’s the “business of art.”

Great art is now racist, too? Well, let’s get rid of it all. We can’t be having stuff that the PC folks will object to, can we?

Art is encouraged by the leisure class for the leisure class. It’s harder for minorities to get that “relaxed”.

There’s a new outdoor sidewalk chalk display by live brown women in upper Michigan, not far from an indoor cafe.

(Lower Michigan is actually under the surface, and upper Michigan is above ground forces. Altitude is everything!)

One can also say: Old books by Dead White Men, Old Classical Music by Dead White Men, Old Inventions in Science,( Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Technology etc.) by Dead White Men. Try to go back to the beginning of civilization and ask yourselves, why only white men. But if we go back and eliminate everything by these “Dead White Men”, we eliminate history, and if these Dead White Men never existed we wouldn’t be commenting on computers in 2021. Bliss wants to be part of the “woke” crowd for self-preservation; after all, he’s another “Live White Male” taking advantage of his ethnicity. The hypocrisy of it all.

There are artistic traditions that are thousands of years old from places other than Europe. Africa, Asia, the Americas, Australia. A lot of it is good stuff. Oh gosh, I’ve listed all the places inhabited by humans.

National Museum of Women in the Arts is located on 13th St NW at New York Ave NW in Washington DC. All artwork in the multistory building is by women artists, some dead, many alive. It is a private museum so it is a pay to enter museum, but worth it! Come to DC and See!
