Thank you, Brian, for this poignant remembrance of those who fought for us. So many did not come home. My godmother’s husband (Army Infantry) was awarded the Purple Heart and is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery.
1944 – two years before my birth but D-Day is special in my heart because I was born into a free, peaceful world, thanks to Eisenhower and his guys! Thank you Brian for the commemoration ;)
And for all the American Soldiers buried at Normandy that didn’t get to come home, I want to say thank you for dying for me. lf l make it to Heaven, l would like to buy each and everyone of you a beer. God Bless You…..
The number of us still alive who were old enough to remember that time continues to shrink and fewer yet are the ones who served. It brings up a lot of sad memories
Thank God for those who had the courage and patriotism to fight against Fascism and Nazism in those days! I wish more of their descendants had the same courage and patriotism these days.

It’s an honor being named after Ike and I’m very glad my parents didn’t call me Dwight.

God Bless Our Military and Veterans. You have and do sacrifice so much for us. It is a debt that we can never repay.

Well done! A much better effort than Lio’s political commentary disguised as a tribute.

Red remembers D-Day’s anniversary, our ‘president’ ignored it – or totally forgot it, because he was busy race-pandering that day.
