Why does everybody see the dog collar and automatically think âOh, look, bondageâ? Especially with a dog standing right there. Isnât it more likely that the dog just needs to go for a walk? I know that itâs 2 am, and the wind has picked up, driving the sleet into the side of the house, and you have to get up to go to work 4 hours, but walking a dog is not bondage.
Thereâs never been more of a drag/ (the thought of it makes me gag)/ than to walk through a storm/ to pick up something warm/ with your hand in a plastic bag.
Portrait of Herr Spencer Bentley III ready for a perambulation on his vast estates.
Spencer Bentley III ( there never was an I or II ) was the name my daughter gave to her first dachshund because it sounded âregalâ! Spencer did look exactly like the dog in this painting. He ruled her home â which he considered his personal fiefdom â for over 17 years.
Forever jealous that Hitler chose a German Shepherd over the classic German Dachshund as his pet, Hans Der Hund made the unwise decision to join the troops on the Eastern Front in 1940. Far from showing up the infamous but cowardly âBlondieâ with his devotion to the FĂźhrerâs cause, Hans was last seen being roasted on a spit by a starving, bedraggled German soldier in the winter of â42.

Ok, I donât know how the artist did it, but he made the dog look naked. And itâs creepy, and it has to stop.
