Maleficent really wasn’t a very good mother, but she tried hard (at least when it came to her OWN children)

Anna thought that emulating a bird by keeping her kid up high on a rock, with no roof, was a good idea. Wait until she tries to teach the kid how to fly.

In another moment Abraham would arrive, and the Messenger would call out to him to stay his hand before he could slice and dice Isaac. For the nonce, however, she would just enjoy her new drapes!

Minerva had had to drive Joey around in a minivan for an hour and a half before he fell asleep. There was no way she was going to let a mere sunrise wake him up.

Barnabas Collins loved this painting of him and his mother. It hung on the landing to the second floor, right next to the mirror. Does that seem strange? Did you think he’d hang it next to the painting of Madonna and Child?

The Sisters of Mercy, they are not departed or gone. They were waiting for me when I thought that I just can’t go on. And they brought me their comfort and later they brought me this song. Oh, I hope you run into them, you who’ve been traveling so long. - Leonard Cohen

If you go to https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Sidonie_Springer_-Knabe_unter_dem_Schutzmantel%2C1923.jpg and zoom way in on the boy’s face, he looks remarkably like a pig. I can’t help thinking maybe Springer had issues about children.

Her “solution” to the “day care problem” seems rather extreme, but she just made managing partner at Schweinbraten, Duschbeutler, Pforzelbrenner und Glueckwunsch, P.A. -Frau Goebbels would understand…

Unfortunately for young Siegfried, he mistook his mother’s crow imitations of “CAW, CAW!” for “CRAWL, CRAWL!” and over the edge he went.

has info and links that point to more info about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting.

Other than what’s pointed to by Source in the title URL, I could find no English info about this artist (I could point to the German version, that Google Chrome can automatically translate if necessary; but, that step has already been done). First work by her used here.

When little Helmut was born/ his Mom was an object of scorn/ a lowly worm/ in a legal firm/ whose career was by motherhood torn /// but grandma stepped into the gap/ and cared for the little chap/ whilst mother’s career / toward the stratosphere/ broke free from the Mommy trap/// but then came the fatal day/ that the hearse bore grandma away/ what was mother to do/ (was her “rising “ through ?)/ Poor mommy was racked with dismay../// Now she sits in a fog of remorse/(she “removed” her prob. at its source)/ / but her tears are dried / at her desk, (ten-feet wide !)/ in the corner office, of course..
