My whole life I have been the one to want to keep the house cooler

Ive reached that age where I dont take the chill so well just as my wife is in menopause

The tables have turned, now I’m putting on a robe while she swelters

It’s funny but when it’s 60 degrees in the house, I feel cold. But when it’s 60 degrees outside, it’s gorgeous and I don’t need a jacket. Somehow 60 degrees seems warmer when it’s outside.

    My Bitterness Keeps Me Warm

I think that could be the title for a graphic novel about a superhero who is able to thwart crime with biting sarcasm, capable of disabling mechanical devices and immobilizing organic persons with a single glance. Sort of like Barry Allen, but making the world go super slow, rather than going super fast.

At my age, bitterness and hot flashes keep my heating bill nice and low.

This is one area where we must agree to disagree. I have lived in the desert southwest for 43 years and just can’t tolerate temperatures below 70 (and even that is sweater weather). My house thermostate is usually set to 82 in the summer (when the outside is over 100), and 75 in the winter (which gets bumped to 78 . . . a lot). Sorry. I’m just not cold tolerant any longer. Used to be, used to snow ski. Not any longer.

Shouldn’t bitterness make you cold? :)

My husband is funny; until I pointed it out to him, he would keep the a/c at a cooler temp in the summer than the “warming” temp in the winter.
