Although I have a very study one step to reach the shelves that are close to the ceiling, most of the time I use my “reacher”, the best handicapped aid I ever found!
Being in the military we moved a lot. So did most of our friends. My wife and I have been invited to many “moving parties” to get stuff off the top shelf or take down curtain rods.
My recently deceased wife had the simple answer for too high or too low. HONEY can you reach that for me. I miss that so much along with everything else. It is “funny” what goes through my mind now.

Although my wife is shorter than me, she can reach a higher shelf. Go figure.

And why her Hubby keeps moving the Sugar up to the Top Shelf to remind her that She Needs Him.

My Hubby is 6’ 2" and I call him to get something off the high shelf so I don’t have to carry the 2 step to where I am and us it. It’s heavy.
