I finally started paying my bills online. I’m sure that one day I’ll forget how to use pens.

I like to keep my money until the last minute. Make your money work for you…….. Although really it’s peanuts. It’s just the thought LOL

Paying by check instead of thru online banking moves you up a Plugger level notch….

Although I do online bill paying, I usually wait for all three to come in the mail and prepare paying them all at once immediately so I don’t forget wondering if I got them all received.

This Plugger hasn’t paid a paper bill in years. He waits until the bills are due then pays them electronically. Quick and efficient.

Keep a bill list . As they are paid (Check/Electronic) mark it off ;-)

Direct debit. Utility company debits the checking acct on due date.

Eh? Not me. I don’t does things until the last minute.

This plugger pays all credit card bills day it is received. I just select payment date on computer day it’s due.

A Plugger pays off the credit card every month .

I schedule payments as the bills hit my email. It’s about the same.

Been a plugger my entire life if that’s true. And what so wrong about paying bills on time?

You’re a hardcore Plugger if you write a check to pay a bill and a die-hard Plugger if you go in and pay with cash.

and let them get the interest for that 30 days early payment? those pennies add up, you know….same for income tax!

I pay online when I get the bill. Yeah I know I’m losing that 2% interest on $67 for 17 days but I’m afraid I’ll forget it otherwise.

I have everything setup to auto pay to a credit card that has a good cash back bonus. Then I pay that once a month the day I get the bill. My credit score is about as high as you can get. I only have to write a check for my Medicare part D. I can not get them to direct debit an account, and they don’t take CC. Dropping them next year.

Another DeJoy USPS scheme (his fiddling, not the USPS) that’s ripping off consumers – since the mail runs so slowly now because of his changes people send out payments far earlier. That let’s the banks and businesses make money off of the interest your money could be making you. It isn’t much to you but it is your money. Why should they have it for free and because so many people now pay earlier it does add up for them. What have they done for you lately?

My plugger wife pays them when they come in, as in the cartoon. I pay them when they’re due.

I spent many years of my life struggling and sweating while waiting for the next paycheck so I could pay bills. I still do that to some extent. But now, when the money is in there, I pay the bill right away. That gives me a feeling of relief, and keeps bills from becoming overdue if the unexpected happens (like an unexpected hospital stay).

The only things I have on autopay are my life insurance and renters insurance. The amounts are small enough not to cause a problem. Having autopay for a number of bills can cause unforeseen problems. My late ex-hubby (who was still my friend until he passed away) experienced that. He needed money for extra medical and other expenses. He had been in a coma and those of us who were helping him didn’t have access to his account to see the problem. He didn’t have money for his rent. Fortunately, his sister, who is truly an angel, bailed him out until we could get things reorganized.
