    Save a lot of time to just eliminate that part. It’s up to the lawyers to coach the witness as to how to respond.. without lying

    too funny. As a longtime lawyer I’ve often wondered what would happen if someone actually said that. Or, more accurately, admitted that upfront.

    The swearing in should be: “Be aware that your testimony will be verified. Falsehoods will be prosecuted as perjury. You will held in jail for contempt of court, until sentenced.”
