If that was what he was about, he would have just cemented the whole thing in a long time ago.

Some of my neighbors cut the grass two or three times a week, bag the grass clippings and get bent out of shape if they see one leaf laying on the grass. I cut my grass once a week only because I don’t want to have a $1,000 fine from the city, don’t bag the grass and could careless if there is a leaf or two on the grass. The real kicker is I have a bigger yard than they do and I always wonder if they would be so OCD if they had my size of yard?

Lawns are deserts. Green scorched earth. Of no benefit to anything.

Just tell Gracie that snakes like to live in tall grass. That’ll change her mind.

Surprised Gracie hasn’t thought that mowing is good exercise esp as her father is diabetic.

Gracie, you wouldn’t want your dad to get in trouble for not mowing the lawn. Cities have people out checking your yard to make sure your grass isn’t too long. If it is, they send you letters stating that if you don’t mow it, they will send someone to do it and add it to the next years tax bill.

I don’t understand what Gracie is doing, and I don’t understand what “scorched-earth policy” has to do with anything – especially since there is no such thing as a scorched-earth policy.

Well, he’s still got Grass and shrubs.

Does that eliminate California as the strip’s location, what with the Droughts?
