Queen of “mean”.

Yeah, I imagine Chiram would rather look for a gem, not for a queen. Will he freeze again?

Does he know her language (he identified it when he saw writing) or does she know English? And, if this is being translated from the Bandar language for us, why use archaic English? (BTW, it was archaic in 1611, but the revisers who did the KJV thought archaic language sounded “holier” and preferred holy to accurate.)

She’s getting dressed for a night out but it’s already 3 am. Oh well, Chiram is the proverbial any-port-in-a-storm.

Tira isn’t as voluptuously developed as most of the queens that we’ve encountered in Tarzan’s Africa. (Not that I tend to notice things like that.)

So it the queen’s chambers and no guards?

Like I said yesterday, a dangerous man-eating monster laing in wait for its next victim. Surely it will be a very bloody end for slimy old Chiram, by Buddha!
