In panel 1, why is the word “presently” necessary?
Clang! As the 2 helmets crashed together, the two guards last thought as they slide in to unconsciousness was “Oops! I dropped a clanger”.
Okay, the writing on this strip is nothing to write home about, but the old art with its dramatic use of blacks can be appreciated. Don’t think there are any strips today that can match the visual quality of a lot of the old comics.

I have a bit of an issue with the term “Well Guarded”… ㋛
They put down their weapons to look at a stick. You just can’t get good help nowadays.
