At least they aren’t standing around looking at their phones like many their age.

They were raised right – work hard, achieve your dreams, end of the day you lay down and are proud of what you have done

Just stick with washing the dishes. That’s the entry level position.

they aren’t insane. you were just younger and could help out more when their business wasn’t thriving. Kudos to them for making their business a success.

I would be bored out of my mind working in a restaurants. Just because your busy doesn’t mean that your getting something out of the job.

yep. And having a wife who owned a tavern/restaurant in a summer resort area, she worked over 100 hours a week for 20 years. Of course, after I finally talked her into retiring it took several years before she learned to relax and figure out that not everything had to be done before she stopped-almost cut a finger off while working in our garden at almost 11 pm-that finally drove home the fact that she no longer had to work so much every day. Slow down and smell the roses.

I think he means the kids are ambitious and there is nothing wrong with that. It is not for Arlo and that is fine too.

Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your kids.

If the kids are so dang busy why not 1) hire seasonal help 2) raise the prices a notch
