Not at all, providing that you CAN shop on the old laptop.

Another example of the current trend – I NEED MORE CHOICES. After all, the newest thing has got to be better than the one you just bought. Almost everything nowadays has dozens of variations to attract more buyers – sodas, power drinks, running shoes, cell phones, etc. Why not laptops?

She should write to Dear Abby or some other advice venue. I’m amazed at the number of people who ask questions about manners that (a) they should be capable of figuring out for themselves or (b) are so out of date as to be meaningless.

Not as long as you stay with the same brand. And it’s Apple. (I may be a bit biased.)
