People will buy anything. Companies bought nothing from the Government in the 1980s so they could broadcast wireless signals. The “airways” cost the Government nothing to produce and they made money on it.
People pay good money for this thing called cryptocurrency. You can’t see it. You can’t touch it. Yet people believe it exists. I guess you can say the same thing about God, Santa Clause and Covid. You humanoids are really funny creatures.
Kind of the same thing as a credit card back in the day. Perhaps as crazy of paper instead of gold. However, I rarely hear of anyone trading their crypto currency back into cash. Maybe they do and that is just not interesting enough for news, but I think I’ll wait for this “net boom” crypto thing to bust and see what happens.
Imagination doesn’t always remain high in the atmosphere. What will be under the fall? What widespread area unwittingly is to experience the fall? Our currency is currently supported by good faith only.

“The Cloud” aka somebody else’s computer.
If it’s important, keep it where you can get it.

PT Barnum of the “There’s a sucker born every minute,” quote would be bowing down to the Bitcoin people exclaiming “I’m not worthy.”

Wrong little clam. You exist, you can be seen, you can be traded for durable goods, food shelter. Crypto/clam coins can not.

One could argue the “to” in the last panel s/b “too”, which would apply to maybe both the strip and the concept…
