I’ve always been transparent (no pun intended) with my daughters. One lesson I taught them at a very young age is that you’re never too old to apologize for your mistakes. For instance, if I blamed one of them for something & it turns out that she didn’t do it, I would apologize and SAY “I was wrong.” However, I’ve also taught them that one shouldn’t just say “sorry” but also WHY they’re sorry.
If a child thinks that you didn’t make any mistakes as parent … LET THEM! Soon enough they will come back to you with something, enjoy it while you can.

Sure, all parents make mistakes. Some of those mistakes are costly for parents and their kids. It’s what they do about the mistake that counts.
