I must say, back when I was a student here, the campus has much nicer lawns.

Conversation overheard outside the Mauritshuis in the Hague:

When I first saw that girl in the painting, / I must tell you, I came close to fainting. / She looks so much like me / that my family tree / and I soon need to be reacquainting. /// I must have her or never find peace; / I believe I’m her great great grandneice. / Back in the museum, / the guards, when I see ‘em, / they have threatened to call the police. /// They all claim that I’m mad and obsessing / over art I’ve no chance of possessing. / At my sanity hearing / I will wear one pearl earring, / and in blue and gold headscarf be dressing.

Joseffe’s favorite pastime was standing on the corner and watching all the girls go by. This was going to be a big day! It wasn’t yet noon and he’d already counted two!

Sorry about lunch plans — when I was told they had Rubens here, I was sure it was a sandwich shop.

Of all the fine homes in The Hague/ whose future is probably vague/ tis the house of Mauritz/ which empty now sits/ left unoccupied by the plague./// Mauritz was a proud, wealthy man/ the chief of a prosperous clan/ whose businesses ran/ from the coast of Japan/ to the foothills of Hindustan/// He was sure he’d been chosen by God/(unlike you- an average clod)/ his palatial abode/ the city bestrode/ and of servants he had a full squad../// yes, Mauritz lived life to the max/ and his fortunes continued to wax/ but he went overboard/ with his faith in The Lord/ on the day that he went Anti-vax…

The caption fits with a theory of mine that UFOS are US from the future. At some point we cracked the secret of time travel, but occasionally we get the navigational coordinates slightly wrong and briefly pop into the wrong space/time.
