Wasps, like bees are generally non-aggressive. They are more interested in going about their business than stinging you. Yellow jackets and hornets on the other hand will hunt you down.
I normally leave wasps alone. However those that decided to set up housekeeping under the railing to my deck, got evicted.
Aaaanndd, welcome to the mud dauber. They are great about harvesting spiders and plastering their dead with their children all over the outside of the house.
Honey bees can only sting one time, which rips her guts out. She generally will only do that to defend the hive. Males don’t have stingers at all. On the other hand wasps, hornets etc can sting repeatedly. So honey is a gift.
Bees were here 80 million years before the first blossoms appeared in the latter Cretaceous. Before that they would feed on corpses and also some of the non-flowering plants drippings.

Maybe it’s not so bad being shunned…? However these days they could get praised for getting the jab.

Some wasp species will lay their egg in a live spider. And when the egg hatches the larva will eat, and grow inside the live spider.

If that is a yellow jacket that is speaking to the wasp then he is not a loving bee, he is an a-hole.

Some wasps are the sole pollinators of certain plants. But wasps, in general, get a bad rap mainly from yellow jackets, which are highly aggressive.

Spiders don’t taste that great unless one seasons them properly.

I’d settle for not attacking for no reason. Though, thank you for that spider thing…..

I used to like Geckos until I realized that every bug they ate became poop on my wall and clothes.

Not sure why the bug lost his wings and pincers in the last panel, though!

At least it’s not a WASP joke.

I think there are a lot of people who would be very glad to let wasps into their homes if they’d take care of the spiders!

Nope. Prefer spiders over wasps and bugs any (and every) day.

My vote is for the critters with the most evenly distributed legs vs. the one who’s legs are all attached to a separate thorax.

Bee’s loved? You never saw a room of screaming females yelling at you to kill the bee. Why did I have to have four sisters?
