Nowadays “catch” has taken on a more negative tone. Usually followed by COVID.

She’s playing for sport.

Maybe he’d have more success if he dressed for it. . .then again, maybe not.

Losing that cigar might help.

Shoe’s claiming to be a “good catch”, but she’s going to release him.

Looking for love in all the wrong places, Shoe! You’ll rarely find a ‘catch’ in a bar.

The women who say you’re a catch are always the ones that throw you back.

If anyone tells you that they are a good catch, as a pick up line, just take 10 steps back and walk away. They are anything but…..
