Tigers like taking a dip on warm, sticky days.

I love Hobbes’s fur flying back in the second panel. Such a subtle detail only Bill Watterson would think of adding.

Hobbes should’ve stayed out in the first place.

I don’t know how Hobbes can take the heat with all that fur. At least Calvin can shed some clothing or at least wear lighter clothing when it gets hot.

Well technically the hottest days in October are at the first of the month. Rarely is Halloween the hottest day.

It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.

There were two ‘hills’ we could go sledding on, but only one close enough to walk to and it ended in a creek. The other one was a pasture with a barbed wire fence at the bottom.

0 to 100% humidity in a heart beat. Welcome to the friendly skies of the Calvin Cab company. Watch your step getting out of the situation.

I believed that until I moved to Arizona in the early ’70s. 105 or 110 degrees is hot regardless of the humidity.
