This is part of the reason for doing drills â to minimize the disorder and chaos that would occur without having them. (and to increase the likelihood that everyone will be able to get (out) to safety.
The primary school (grades 1-10) I used to work at never had fire drills. The teenagers were always setting off the fire alarm, and if we emptied the school every time, no actual teaching would get done. Every time the fire alarm went off, someone had to go to the control panel next to the teachersâ lounge, and turn it off. One time, when I was in my office, the fire alarm went off. I assumed one of the teenagers had set it off, so I didnât go anywhere, and just kept working. Sure enough, about a minute later, somebody turned it off, but it went right back on again. It went off again a little later, but it started right back up again, and didnât go off this time. After it had been on for quite a while, I went out to see why nobody turned it off. My office was right next to the cafeteria, where they had the after school activities for the youngest kids, while they waited for their parents to pick them up. I expected to see a bunch of kids playing there, but the place was empty. I saw the cook in the kitchen and asked him what was going on, and he answered: âThe schoolâs on fireâ.

That badger kinda reminds me of the badger from Disneyâs âThe Fox and the Houndâ.

Badgers, smagers, itâs the falling cows you have to look out for in this strip.

He reminds me of a recurring character from the early OTH years, an angry white mole. Only with different politics.
