I like his punk haircut in P1. Saturday My Little Marjie had purple hair. Trying too hard to appeal to the yout of Milford? Showing how young they are to keep their jobs?
A new day and Marjie is blond again as we start another week of this story arc as high school football teams all over the country are preparing either for their openers or week two of the season, going to be a tight fit to get this thread wrapped up, out to Milford Lake and to the practice field this week
P3 Marjie realizes she didn’t button her top properly when she quickly changed her blouse as walked in to the boss’s office to talk and gives him an eye full as she unbuttons and starts over
It’s nice that the writer acknowledged our complaints and confirmed that the whole uproar over Cart-man was stupid. Although Perry White being super impressed with Heather’s Googling leads me to question just how qualified he is to be Editor.
But today’s surprise is there are at least two more people that work on that paper! Maybe they cover more than Mudlark sports and the Library Board after all.
And speaking of covering, Mopped Up Thorp is still providing the best alternative Gil Thorp coverage anywhere!
P1, I like that blond again Marjie has to look around Dales’s laptop because he refuses to close it.
P2, Not sure whose giant hand that is so let’s just call it Thing.
P3, And at the last minute the potential new reporter gets a better offer from the Central City Sentinel and Heather is hired. Now all she has to do is negotiate getting off at 3 every day for football practice.
P 2: " …although, any 3rd grader could’ve done what she did…and I’m more than a little disappointed Marjie that you didn’t know how to do this…I’m also concerned that you are so easily impressed with this girl…"
Darn, I missed this when doing MUT. Well, there’s only so much room for dialog anyway. So despite Marjie’s instant hair dye job between knocking on his door and sitting down, both she and Perry White have on different shirts now. Hmm, just what happened between Saturday and today? Darn that lack of a Sunday strip! Rated MA.
P 4: “…plus after that request to leave every day at 3 during football season, she was dead in the water….don’t ever mention her name to me again….now get your a$$ out of my office and go find something relevant to write about…”
“The new guy’s name is Carling Henderson, and in addition to newsroom experience his resume says that he is knowledgeable about industrial solvents, which will be a big asset here in Milford!”
For your Homework, today, class: Research the Characters from three years ago to figure out who might have 2 years experience in the newsroom. Although, “newsroom” might be a euphemism for under his desk
What about the human interest stories covering how regular Milford CC members feel about being fleeced by an itinerant industrial solvents salesman? Where is the personal touch Marjie is famous for?!?

P3: White goatee, no sideburns; sideburns in prior strips. P1: No idea what that is around his mouth.

P2: Is he about to give her the back of the hand for telling him what to do?

What ever happened to Marty’s color man Paul at WMFD? He resembled a 1990’s Drew Carey.

P3.5 the most compelling part of the story is Cart Hoo-ever’s blinking hazard headlights, but let me show you my high-beams while I am here chief

Just for MOP and his desire for a storyline rated MA:
P-1: Marjie prepares for a session of BD/SM as she sits with her hands tied behind her back and her “Boss” watches porn on his Peach Laptop.
P-2: The session begins as the “Boss” prepares to backhand her.
P-3: After watching the screen, her “Boss” removes his glasses and breaks into a tribute to Meat Loaf by singing “…,but I won’t do that!”

So there’s a newsroom somewhere from which moving to the Milford Star would be a step up?
