It’s a rousing success – they heard that you were the guest speaker and stayed at home.

All you need is a good Press Agent.

Joe public is all ears.

And the guy that is there, rode with him.

Or it’s the janitor, waiting to cut the lights and lock up.

Thanks to the plethora of sources, the public should be very aware that there is no truly reliable source of info on any topic, crisis, or event, unless one actually is present at its origins. And even that view is skewed by the viewer’s own biases.

The public is aware that there is something going on elsewhere that is more interesting and fun.

Isn’t this a TED Talk?

Like so many talks, it misses so many people who could really benefit from it.

Should’ve advertised cake and punch afterwards.

Wasn’t this supposed to be next Tuesday?

No one cares any more.

Oh sorry, I am at the wrong lecture.

It’s a sign of the times. “Public awareness” nowadays amounts to actually caring about what “influencers” are touting at the moment.

I guess everyone is waiting for the podcast.
