I used to have Y2K cans that expired December 1999. One of them eventually sprang an leak; maybe from pineapple acid, so I threw them out.
My “rule-of-thumb,” if it passes the smell test, it’s safe to ingest!! And I’m still alive as proof!!

Food does not expire, it passes a best-by or sell-by date
Most food can be eaten past the date, even unopened dairy products should be good for a week or more after the date
There is a limit

Fortunately commercially canned food will stay edible for years after the expiration dates which is why they are recommended for shelters and preppers. They do, however, gradually lose nutritional value over time.
Given that he is praying to the porcelain God, the calories wouldn’t really matter now would they.

The paper goes over the roll, however, the rule still stands…“He who replaces the roll decides!”
If it’s any consolation, I’m pretty sure puking burns a lot of calories.
