Somewhat similar to a recent Herman. Parent comes home, and son says “ burglars broke in and ate the chocolate cake”.

Yeah, Doggy, nice try. This is an old theme, that needs re-running every so often because it’s fun.

There was a fun Pepsi commercial some years back (quite possibly a Super Bowl ad) where the human makes a sandwich and puts it on a plate on the counter with a Pepsi and then steps away for a moment. A large dog comes up, steals the sandwich, comes back and steals the drink, and then comes back carrying the cat. He parks the cat next to the empty plate, and leaves the cat to take the rap.

Close. Did I tell you that he used a baseball bat on me and it hurts real bad?…..

Aww, cute (or not so cute) dogs and cats deserve a pass on anything they do. Send me the bill and I’ll replace the meatloaf.) I’d make one myself to replace it, but that would be inhumane.

Besides that, when food hits the floor, it’s yours.

He’s a lot better liar than MY dogs.
