I’m not sure which makes me most anxious; past tense, present tense or future tense.

As long as you don’t have any sub-tense abuse. I don’t see any problems.

These days most folks are nervous and wound up enough that they could thread a sewing machine while it’s running.

Sounds like a variation on my friend’s thing. He complained when he didn’t have anything to complain about.

During my working days, felt tense most of the time because there was always something possibly going wrong. If something went right, and I could relax, that felt wrong. After leaving work, promptly gained 30 pounds!

Anybody here remember the strip “Dondi” (1955-86). I have thought of one over the years, when Dondi was worried, “Because everything had been going so well lately.”———-The higher you are, when you fall, the more it hurts when you hit the bottom.

I have a similar experience. I have constant anxieties, but when they calm down completely I tend to do hazardous things… which scares me.

Completely off subject but, he reminds me of a program called “One Day at a Time”; where the girls would sit on the back of the sofa with their shoes on, the seat. That would drive me crazy. And they did it like it was perfectly normal!!! Shoes on the sofa.

Last time I had to move, time was running out without a new place found yet. I finally went to one of the slightly older guys at work and asked him to say, “It’s going to be alright.” He did and I began to feel better. Sometimes you have to hear something reassuring, even if it is from someone who has no idea what is going on.
