To each – his own, I guess! I bought my large flat-screen TV so I could watch my Blu-rays in HIDEF!! Sports – not so much!!

I enjoy watching college football. Pro ball not so much.

The mini fridge works as a side table.

He saved money by not buying a new set. He knows he’ll fall asleep before halftime.

I’ve downloaded an app to my TV that shows an open log-fire burning… That’s displayed on my screen more often than anything else… especially what we call football (not soccer)…

I’ve quit watching football. Four hours for a sixty minute game is too long for me.

Believe it or not, there used to be a fresnel screen that was meant to hang over the old TV so as to enlarge the picture. We never used one, but a HS friend’s father used it on his old 19" screen TV.

Any closer Brutus and you will be a Cleveland Brown Noser.

60" flatscreen TVs are cheaper than a 27" color TV was 45 years ago.

For me, the football season doesn’t start until the World Series is over. (And I’m a fan of a team that isn’t going anywhere near the World Series.)

Smart move and cost saving!

The poor man’s big screen. Wear your glasses also; that helps too. And next year, or maybe even Christmas, that big screen just might arrive…

As for the NFL, I quit when they openly showed hatred for our country.

I’ve been doing that for years. It also saves by not having to but new glasses as often.

All that so you can watch the referees completely blow a call and completely change the outcome of the game in the process. With all the rules in football, you need lawyers, not referees.

At least you can watch football without paying extra. If your team is doing well it’s a bonus. No need to watch cable news or travel to rallies to learn what you are to be outraged about this week.

I quit watching Little League baseball after awhile because the home plate umpires stunk and the kids were acting more and more like the big leaguers. ( spitting, grabbing their crotch, etc. etc.

i envy folks who have all that time to waste sitting in front of the tube (i’m lying)…

Makes sense to me.
